Hi! I am a sixth year PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I study the relationship between social movements and public opinion, with a focus on university student protest movements in Latin America. More broadly, my research seeks to center Latin America’s public universities as sites of political socialization and contestation.
My research has been supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and the APSA Diversity Fellowship Program.
I am involved in various leadership and service positions at MIT, and currently serve as President of the Latinx Graduate Student Association. I am also a Graduate Community Fellow with MIT’s PKG Center for Social Impact, where I support community engaged learning and civic engagement initiatives on campus.
Prior to MIT, I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2020 with a BA in Political Science and a BS in Economics. As an alumna of UCF’s McNair Scholars Program, I am passionate about improving equity and access in higher education.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time at the beach, traveling, attending musicals and plays, and working on creative projects.
